Engineered Oak Rustic A

These European manufactured boards have excellent production credentials. Rustic A is our middle grade, Some knots but not too many and no sapwood. Good length specification with only approximately 10% of boards being less than 2000mm. Each board is machined with tongue and groove with ends matched and fit tight unlike many cheap alternatives that have a loose T & G which can impact the finished floor quality. These boards are made to order allowing a wide choice in widths and finishes to be delivered within 2-3 weeks.

Options include sanded and unfinished for finishing on site once installed or oiled with 2 coats of  hard wax oil. Other finishing options include planed which provides a natural distressed look to the floor with natural variation in texture where some areas will feel smooth and other areas a slight rougher feel to the floor typically around knots where the timber is harder. Alternatively choose sanded smooth for a smooth finish. Options for edge profile include micor bevel or square edge. Rustic A allows for knots up to 35mm and no sap is allowed. Sap gives a light blonde colour to the timber and is usually present at the edges of the timber on lower grades.
