Dark Smoked Herringbone Oak Oiled

Dark smoked herringbone flooring is a through-and-through treatment where the dark colour is throughout the oak and not just a surface treatment. The smoking process reacts with the tanins in the oak to produce warm brown tones. The oiled treatment is uses natural impregnating oils to provide protection to the floor. Impregnating Natural Oils are different to Hard Waxoils as the penetrate the oak more for better protection . This floor is ideal for high traffic areas as the floor can be sanded and refinished without losing the colour. Scratches will show less as the natural timber provides the colour of the floor. This herringbone flooring is available in a variety of finishes including sanded smooth, brushed, oiled and lacquered and in all formats including extra wide planks. This dark wood floor provides a rich, luxurious feel to your room. choose from planks, chevron or herringbone.

Grades: Prime A, Prime B, Rustic A, Rustic AB

Prime A: Healthy knots (filled) with a maximum of 3 mm. No open defects, minimal colour variation. No sapwood and no end cracks allowed.

Prime B: Healthy knots (filled) with a maximum of 8 mm. No open defects, slight colour variation. No sapwood and no end cracks allowed.

Rustic A: Healthy knots (filled) with a maximum of ± 35 mm. Less colour variation. No sapwood and no end cracks allowed.

Rustic AB: Healthy knots (filled) with a maximum of ± 60 mm (240 mm and wider up to ± 80 mm). Colour variation allowed. Occasionally a little sapwood permitted and end cracks of max. 100 mm allowed.
