Berkeley Oak Oiled
Berkeley Oak Oiled is one of our premium quality floors. Using slow and old growth oak providing the finest quality timber for flooring. The colour is achieved with a reactive stain providing depth of colour and reacting naturally to the tanins in the oak. A very versatile product as Berkeley Oak is available in any format such as herringbone, chevron and custom panels and inlaid parquet designs. Also available in extra wide boards up to a massive 800mm! The finish is a natural impregnating oil to provide a durable protective finish that will last for decades with regular maintenance oils. Grades: Prime A, Prime B, Rustic A, Rustic AB
Prime A: Healthy knots (filled) with a maximum of 3 mm. No open defects, minimal colour variation. No sapwood and no end cracks allowed.
Prime B: Healthy knots (filled) with a maximum of 10 mm. No open defects, slight colour variation. No sapwood and no end cracks allowed.
Rustic A: Healthy knots (filled) mostly ± 35 mm. Some knots may exceed 35mm. More colour variation. No sapwood and no end cracks allowed.
Rustic AB: Healthy knots (filled) to any size. More colour variation . Occasionally a little sapwood permitted and end cracks of max. 100 mm allowed.
