Borrowdale limed oak flooring is white washed with a Hard Waxoil finish. The appearance is similar to the traditional process of liming a wood floor to protect it from bugs and provide protection. Today the technique to create limed oak flooring is not used so much as the process of liming wood floors with a caustic lime is high maintenance.
